One year ago today

It was a year ago today that the diagnosis of cancer changed my life....well, all our lives.
I thank you all for your support this year. Your calls, prayers, cards, treasures, food, hugs, and dollars. I have been overwhelmed. I am very thankful.

I wish you all a wonderful holiday season.

With love and hugs and thanks,
Chris

Ugh

....I mean, Happy Holidays!
I had chemo on Friday. I moved it from Wednesday since the weather report was full of sub-zero temperatures, snow and wind.

Day 3 and 4 after chemo seem to be the worst. I was able to do some holiday shopping and decorating over the weekend. We had our Guatemala market at church on Sunday and then I went down for the count. Here it is Wednesday and I finally took a shower and dragged my carcas into work.

I will have a CT scan next week to see if the Alimta is working and to check results of the radiation. Will meet with my oncologist on the 30th. If the chemo is working, I will have chemo that same day.

Hope you all are enjoying all the holiday festivities. Food, family, friends, fun....and lots of lights!

Welcome to December!

I love this season! I have my holiday lights up and I love how cheerful they are.
I am feeling good and getting a lot done--home improvement projects and holiday shopping. I taught a yoga/meditation class last Saturday. Felt good and I am hoping to carry it over into a home practice. I know how important it is to take some time to slow down, to breathe and to be mindful.

Friends are angels who lift us up to our feet
when our own wings have trouble remembering how to fly.
Thank you.
Another round of chemo on the 7th and then another CT scan the end of the month to see if the Alimta is working. Here's hoping!
Hugs,
chris
