pathology and Relay

Met with Dr. K last Wednesday, and had chemo, and met with the oncology social worker.

My oncologist has been talking to a pathologist who thinks that they might be able to get enough tissue to do the molecular studies.  That would be cool.  Find out if I have the markers for a new drug.

Spent the holiday weekend very green.  Hated to be down for the count when it was nice out and a long weekend.  Lots of flowers did not get planted, lots of grass and dandelions did not get pulled.  Want to know what I am doing this weekend?!

Relay for Life is next weekend.  If you would like to donate to American Cancer Society, please go to my site: http://main.acsevents.org/goto/KickButtWY

The Relay is a chance to bring some awareness to cancer, survivors, and caregivers; to provide education about cancer; to raise dollars for research and programs (Road to Recovery, Look Good, Feel Better, for example) and to show support. I think that this the our 13th year to have a team take the track.

Hope your summer plans are coming together!

chris

I'm still here!

Sorry that it has been so long since I posted.

I have been to Texas to find the sun.  Came home to a blizzard and chemo... I was tempted to just get back on a plane.

Been feeling pretty good.  Finally walking a lot-now that I can do it without snow boots!  My friend Kay was here this last weekend and we did a Wyoming Cares 5 K. Walking not running!  Felt good.  Then we bought horseshoes and went back to the park to pitch shoes.  Sorry Uncle Guy-I am not very good!  The following morning we walked the lake again.  I have walked every day this week.  Awesome!

Will have one more chemo and then a PET.  I am so hoping that is shows shrink or stable and that I can plan another break.

Our Cheyenne Relay for Life is on June 7th.  If you are close by, come and walk with me.  If you would like to donate, you can do so on my page, http://main.acsevents.org/goto/KickButtWY.

 hugs,
chris
