Good morning

I finally crawled out of the quilts yesterday and came in to work around 11. Ugh. This round had me down for several days. Nice that it was cool and rainy over the weekend. Made for good sleeping. I watched a lot of Mr. Darcy and Jack Sparrow!

I love when the air changes and you can smell and feel the fall. My very favorite season.

Have a wonderful, long weekend. Be safe all!
Hugs,
chris

Fall is in the air!

Today is cool and fall like. Feels wonderful!
Sorry it has been so long since I added to the blog. Was in Casper and Sheridan. Did some training (I just love it!) and then spent time with my dad and grandmother in Casper and a pal in Sheridan.
My grandma is 92 and what a kick! She is moving out of her house. She and I spent time looking at things and talking memories. It was bitter sweet. She has lived there my whole life. We also picked a box of crabapples so that I can make "Grandma's Recipe." A wonderful crabapple liquor.

Had chemo yesterday. Went well and I had a long chat with Dr. Kanard. We talked some of the tough stuff. As soon as I finished chemo I called the counselor to talk it all over before I got on the highway. They are both amazing women and I am so lucky.

Speaking of lucky, I am so lucky to have you all checking in and sending such amazing energy and love.
have a great weekend.
Hugs,
chris

Another one down

Put notch number 21 on the gun. At my appointment with Dr. Kanard she mentioned that I have been on Alimta since October. Wow. Also hard to believe that it is two years this month since the spots were discovered on my lungs. What a wild ride it has been. The terrible lows of a cancer diagnosis and the wonderful highs of family and friends lifting me up.

Spent most of the weekend on or in the bed. A bummer, since it was so beautiful and there was so much going on. Ah well, it is the nature of the beast. Cousin Chris Osse came through on Saturday for a visit. Many of you should know his name-it is his black bean dip we all love! Sunday I took a slow roll through Lion's Park and the Botanic Garden on my very groovy pink birthday bike. (It was my 50th birthday present from my dad!) Very beautiful spot to just breathe.

My brain feels like mush--better sign off for now!
Hope you are all enjoying your summer.
Hugs,
chris
