some good news for lung cancer survivors

I was just on the Lung Cancer Alliance website (http://www.lungcanceralliance.org) and saw that the senate had passed a resolution making lung cancer a national public health priority.

Hope you are all enjoying this amazing weather! I got my pots all planted and the yard is looking pretty good. Carrie and Bryan, Cathy and a few others are coming this Saturday to help work on making the icky shed into a cool covered patio. I'll let you know when the outdoor bar is open!

Have a grand long weekend!

Springs busting out all over!

Just returned from a wonderful trip to Andrea and Nick's farm in Idaho. Beautiful! We had lots of laughs and music. They have built this amazing house surrounded by the apple orchard. The lilacs out there were incredible! One of my very favorite flowers. Hope to get back out there this fall.

Chemo was yesterday. One more on June 1st and then another CT scan to see how it is working. I assume that if (and it IS!) working I will continue on with the Alimta. Was already feeling a bit yucky coming home from Ft. C. Met with the hospice counselor while I was down there. She is quite wonderful. Very helpful thing to do. She and I are talking about how to start a support group for singles with cancer. Not sure if we will try to do it in Cheyenne or Ft. Collins or both. Any suggestions?
"If you consider all the people you know who seem truly happy, there is likely to be one trait-one essential perspective on life-that each of these happy people share...It is the word NOW. It is the understanding that happiness exists at just one time and that time is NOW." (Willie Nelson, from his book the Tao of Willie)
