Have a grand weekend!

Sitting here listening to Jimmy Buffett (I just love him!) and getting ready for the weekend! I always feel like I am trying to catch-up and make-up time after chemo week. Feeling good at ready to get after it!

Next up in the Big C events are a CT scan on the 10th and then chemo on the 13th.

I have been down at the southside Safeway shifting and shelving this week. Good workout program! They are relocating us. Sad to leave the Capitol Complex.

I hope you are all having a wonderful summer. I know I owe a lot of you thank you notes and phone calls. Please know I am so thankful and grateful... You really do keep me hopeful and strong.
Love,
chris

Happy Summer!

It is speeding right along!
Our Wyoming Libraries Relay for Life team won for most money raised and Shareen won for most money raised by an individual! Hooray! We also retained our tailgate gourmet trophy-the french food was tres magnifique!
Is is so amazing to walk the survivor lap... "I am here."

Thank you, again, for all your love and support. It keeps me feeling HOPE.

"Faith is the bird that feels the light and sings when the dawn is still dark." (Rabindranath Tagor)

Had chemo yesterday. I am ready to head home to my lawnchair!
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
chris

Cherchez la Cure!

Our Wyoming Libraries Relay for Life team is all set to take the field tonight. This year's theme for Laramie County is children's books. We chose Madeline by Ludwig Bemelmans, so that we could serve French food for the tailgate gourmet! We always choose our theme based on what we want to cook! http://wyomingweb.net/relay If you are around tonight or tomorrow, come on out and join us on the track!

As for me, things are going well. I am feeling pretty darn good!

"Accepting a thing does not mean you approve of what is going on, nor does it mean that you are not being impacted by what is going on. Acceptance takes you from where you are to where you want to be without stopping in every little hick town of negative emotion." (Iyanla)

Have a great weekend!

It is Relay for Life time!

Once again I am part of the Wyoming Library Community Relay for Life team. I am also a cancer fighter/survivor. So...this is personal.

I thank you all for you efforts in the war on cancer and, in particular, my fight and well-being. You are awesome!

If you would like to donate to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life (and our team total!) you can now do so online. I have shrunk the url (thanks to Erin for showing me tinyurl.com!)--
http://tinyurl.com/ogm6q You can also send dontations to me. Make checks to ACS.

We will be walking on June 16th and 17th. If you are in Cheyenne, please come join us. We are famous for our tailgate gourmet, so come have a nibble, too! Our team page (complete with pictures): http://wyomingweb.net/relay/

Thank you so much for all you do!!

June? Already?!

Just finished chemo treatment number 12 on the Alimta (18 total chemo treatments since the battle began). I am so pleased that I am tolerating it so well. Hopefully it is in there doing battle and winning. I will have another CT scan in July to see how things look.
I wanted to clarify something from a previous email. I had mentioned that I was going to a hospice counselor. I am not in hopsice care. I am doing well and fighting. The counselor I am seeing is part of the Hospice of Larimer County under their Pathways program. It has a new program to support and provide counseling for people with chronic illnesses, their families and caregivers. There are so many things to think about, take care of, and deal with. It has been very helpful. I have an amazing care team, and that includes all of you! Thank you for all you do to keep my head above water.
Happy summer!
Hugs,
chris
