Happy Fall!

It is gorgeous here. I just love this season!
Was in Albuquerque last week. Mostly saw the inside of the Hyatt Regency. Beautiful drive. I was wishing I could just wander off to Taos and Santa Fe...
This week is our Wyoming Library Association conference in Gillette. Next week I have another CT scan (gulp) and then chemo on the 5th. It will be exactly one year since I started the Alimta. I don't know who "created it," but they are angels in my book!

Thank you for the fun cards (Sue and Marci-you rock!), amazing email messages (Jep and Gail you lifted me up) and all your prayers, good energy, and hugs.

"There was once a wise woman traveling in the mountains who found a precious stone in a stream. The next day she met another traveler who was hungry, and she opened her bag to share her food. The hungry traveler saw the precious stone and asked if she might give it to him. She did so without hesitation. The traveler left, rejoicing in his good fortune. He knew the stone was worth enough to give him security for a lifetime. But only a few days later he came back to return the stone to the woman who had given it to him. "I've been thinking," he said, "I know how valuable the stone is, but I'm giving it back in the hope that you can give me something even more precious. I want you to give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me the stone."

I am back!

I am back from Texas-tan and rested. My cousin Liz and I spent our time together floating in the pool, laughing, lounging around the pool, laughing, eating great food, laughing.....
It was just what I needed!
We also went to the Mucky Duck (a great little pub) to see the Morales Sisters. We got a wonderful bonus: Bela Fleck! He played just a couple of feet from me!

It is hard to believe, but it is chemo week again. It comes up fast!

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying this change of seasons.

Hugs,
chris
